Education journey

Undergraduate tutoring

University asks students to learn independently, quickly and in depth. A tutor who has recently mastered the same material, often at postgraduate level, can make the difference between keeping up and thriving.

Support at university.

The jump to university can be a big one. Lectures move quickly, reading lists are long and there is less day-to-day guidance than at school. We match students with tutors from Oxford, Cambridge and leading London universities who have studied the same subject, often to postgraduate level.

How we help

  • Difficult topics and problem sheets: in maths, sciences, economics, engineering and other quantitative subjects.

  • Academic writing: planning essays, building an argument and using sources well.

  • Exam preparation: revision plans, past papers and practising under timed conditions.

  • Study skills: note-taking, time management and getting the most from lectures and reading.

We never write work for students. We teach them to do it brilliantly themselves.

Becoming an independent learner

The aim is a confident, self-directed learner who can tackle new material on their own. As that confidence grows, sessions focus on the hardest parts of the course and on preparing for exams.

GROW

A tutor a few steps ahead on the same path shows how to approach the hardest parts of the course.

Clarity on difficult topics, strong academic writing and effective exam preparation.

The confidence and independence to thrive at university and beyond.
